INGREDIENTS:

25 ounces / 700 g minced beef
10.5 ounces / 300 g minced pork
35 ounces / 1 kg smoked ribs, blanched
7 ounces / 200 gr smoked sausage (optional)
2-3 onions
1 bulb garlic
1 cup rice
4 eggs
20 sauerkraut leaves, large
35 ounces / 1 kg potatoes
2 teaspoons black pepper
4 teaspoons Vegeta (mixed vegetable condiment)
Salt
Vegetable oil

Preparation

Thinly chop the onion and add it to the heated oil in a deep frying pan. Add a teaspoon of pepper and sauté until glassy. Add garlic, and after a few minutes add the meat as well. Add another teaspoon of pepper, four teaspoons of Vegeta (dehydrated root vegetable powder) and salt to taste. Sauté until the meat is done. Remove from the stove. Add a cup of rice and stir well. In the end add 4 eggs and stir until consistent. On each sauerkraut leaf place two tablespoons of meat mixture and roll. Cut a leaf or two of sauerkraut into stripes and place them on the bottom of a large pot and arrange the rolls together with the blanched ribs. Add the sliced sausage, place the sauerkraut leaves on top and cover with water. Cook for at least 3 hours, or longer, on low heat. Serve with boiled potatoes.
